The Pearl Shirt — Long Morning

White cotton. Pearl hem. Each one finished by hand in Cairo — which means the shirt that arrives at your door took longer to make than anything else in your wardrobe.

The pearl trim runs along the full hem of the shirt. Not the collar, not the cuffs — the hem. It's a quieter placement than you'd expect, which is exactly what makes it work. From a distance it reads as a clean oversized shirt. Up close, the detail reveals itself.

Cut long — 85cm at the back — so it works as a dress over wide-leg pants, belted over a swimsuit on a beach day, or worn open as a layer over something simple. The oversized fit means it moves with you rather than against you.

Why it takes time

Every pearl is sewn on individually by hand. There is no machine equivalent for this finish. Each shirt takes a full day to complete from cut to trim — which is why we make a limited number and don't restock once they're gone.
