The Eyelet Shirt — Full Sun

An oversized white poplin shirt threaded with colourful eyelets down the centre and across the cuffs — equal parts marina polish and summer play. The eyelets are set by hand, each one placed precisely along the placket and at the sleeve hem.

The shirt is cut long at the back — 82cm — so it works as a layer over swimwear, wide-leg pants, or a slip. The front is shorter at 72cm, which gives it a relaxed, slightly asymmetric quality when worn open. The poplin is tightly woven enough to hold the eyelets without puckering, and lightweight enough for full-day wear in the heat.

The sleeve folds back to reveal the eyelet cuff detail — the kind of finish that makes a simple white shirt worth looking at twice.

Why it takes time

Every eyelet is set individually by hand along the placket and cuffs. The placement is precise — this is not a mass production technique. Each shirt takes significant time to finish, which is why quantities are limited and restocking doesn't happen.
